Vertical arm awnings have TWO important advantages: Stability:
With lateral arm awnings you get an unobstructed deck area. But
with Carefree's vertical arm awnings you get exceptional stability
because the arms support the canopy with a solid foundation. This
will be an important consideration for you if you live in a more
windy area.
Extreme pitch and rain release setting: The safest way to
use an awning in the rain is to make certain that all the water
runs off the canopy - just like the pitch of your roof. Carefree's
vertical arm awnings provide the greatest pitch adjustment. This
pitch is also useful if your deck faces East or West - you may want
extreme pitch adjustment to block early morning and late.

mount permanently into the patio or deck. You can readily detach
the awning support arms from the wall brackets and position them

Canopy ClampsTM Canopy clamps keep your awning tight
and help keep the canopy from flapping in the breeze. Simply rotate

acrylic canopy fabric/colors Canopies are constructed with Sunbrella
woven acrylic. Over 120 colors and patterns to choose from.

Exclusive metal-wrap aluminum shield offers the best fabric protection.
Alumaguard encloses your fabric roller assembly automatically as
your awning is rolled up. Carefree's patented "Drain-AwayTM"

from the elements when rolled up, and is virtually leak proof when

- All vertical arm awnings can accommodate a Screen Room
MEASURING TIPS 1. Vertical arm awnings
require an unobstructed flat mounting surface 5" wide over
the entire length of the awning, and 3-1/2" wide down the length
of each arm.
2. Awning size is measured from center arm to center arm. The actual
fabric width is approximately 10" shorter than the awning length.
3.The overall space required is 4-5/8" wider than the stated
awning size.
4. The minimum overall height clearance required is 82". For
comfortable height, we recommend mounting 9' from the ground/deck.
INSTALLATION TIPS
- When installing, if you don't have enough space to slide into
the awning rail, attach the awning rail to the awning first, then
attach to the house
